Hey there! We now have our first demo update for Lizard! Unleashed, which is uploaded here - this is where updates will live from now on, not the original page. The piece of feedback received consistently across players is that objectives and mechanics are generally unclear, so we added some quick fixes to those with a larger overhaul to come.
What’s in our new demo version?
- An easier path through the bedroom (the first challenge)
- Control descriptions in-game
- A list of objectives
- Hints for each room
- 5 collectibles to add a little extra challenge
- An auto-kill button
- Fixed potential bathroom softlock
- Plugged map hole
- Heat lamp checkpoint priority respawning
It's not really new, but we also found an exploit that cuts down on the demo time significantly. We're leaving it in as a speedrunning strategy.
What are we going to work on from here?
- More levels!
- Art+UI overhaul (expect the environment and theming to change)
- Mechanics polishing
When are we launching and/or releasing more demo updates?
